Kershaw County Council members are set to address several major growth and development issues during their meeting Tuesday night at the County Government Center. Among the agenda items are multiple readings on proposed zoning and land development ordinance changes, including updates to subdivision standards, parking regulations, sidewalks, and impact assessments for major projects. Council will also revisit the proposed Building Permit Allocation System, or BPAS, designed to help manage rapid residential growth in the county. Other items include a proposed lease agreement with Clemson Extension, discussion of a Wateree River historical marker, and resolutions related to county policies and homestead exemption legislation. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday in Council Chambers; it is open to the public and streams live at the county’s YouTube channel.
