Unity United Methodist Church 28th Anniversary Gospel Concert

Celebrate 28 years of ministry with Unity United Methodist Church during its 28th Anniversary Gospel Concert on Sunday, September 6, at 4:00 p.m. The celebration will be held at Unity United Methodist Church, 1332 Fort Jackson Road in Lugoff and will feature praise and worship by Unity’s Combined Choir, along with special musical guests The Singing Crusaders, The Gospel Hi-Lites, Men of Praise, and The Unity Men’s Choir. Master of Ceremonies will be Brother Leonard Murphy. Everyone is invited to enjoy an afternoon of inspiring gospel music and worship.

Fire Fest 2026

This free community event begins at 9 a.m. with a parade of modern and antique fire trucks traveling from Camden City Hall to the Camden City Arena on Broad Street. Activities continue until 1 p.m. and include live firefighting competitions and demonstrations, K-9 demonstrations, a live burn, antique vehicles, vendors, food trucks and games for all ages. Fire Fest also serves as Camden’s kickoff to Fire Prevention Week.

Are you caring for a loved one? You don’t have to do it alone. A Caregiver Support Group meets at St. John United Methodist Church, located at 45 Roseborough Road in Lugoff, on the second Monday of each month from 2:30 until 4:00 p.m. The group offers a welcoming environment where caregivers can connect with others who understand, gain helpful resources and strategies, focus on their own well-being, and build a strong support network. MUSC Health Hospice Grief Support Group

If you’ve experienced the loss of a loved one, you’re invited to attend the MUSC Health Hospice Grief Support Group. The group provides a safe, confidential place to connect with others, share your journey, better understand grief, and learn practical coping skills in a supportive environment. Meetings are free and open to anyone in the community who has suffered a loss. The group meets every Tuesday from 9:00 until 10:00 a.m. at 1165 Highway 1 South, Suite 400, in Lugoff.
