The Atlanta Braves return home Friday to open a three-game series against the Colorado Rockies as Atlanta looks to build momentum heading into the final stretch of the regular season.
The Braves enter the series with a 79-55 overall record and have been especially strong at home, going 45-23. Atlanta’s power has helped fuel its success this season, with the Braves ranking seventh in Major League Baseball with 171 home runs, an average of 1.3 per game.
Colorado comes to Atlanta at 52-82 overall and 25-44 on the road. Despite its struggles in the win column, Colorado’s offense has produced a .323 team on-base percentage, ninth-best in the majors.
Friday’s series opener will mark the fourth meeting of the season between the two clubs.
Michael Harris II continues to lead the way offensively for Atlanta. Harris is batting .292 with 30 doubles, one triple, 21 home runs and 72 RBI. Mauricio Dubón has also been productive recently, going 12-for-35 over his last 10 games.
For Colorado, Jake McCarthy has collected 27 doubles, seven triples and 13 home runs this season. Connor Norby enters the series swinging a hot bat, going 12-for-34 with four doubles, two homers and nine RBI over his last 10 games.
Atlanta has split its last 10 games with a 5-5 record, batting .244 while posting a strong 2.86 team ERA. The Braves have been outscored by just four runs during that stretch.
The Rockies have struggled recently, going 2-8 over their last 10 games while being outscored by 25 runs. Colorado has posted a 6.27 ERA during that span.
