The North Central Knights continued their winning ways Thursday night, putting together an explosive offensive performance in a dominating 49-12 victory over the McBee Panthers in high school football action.

The Knights wasted little time showing off their offensive firepower, scoring 49 points on just 25 offensive plays as North Central picked up its third consecutive victory and improved to 4-4 on the season.

Freshman quarterback Devin Ingram led the charge for North Central, throwing for 197 yards and four touchdowns on just 15 passing attempts. It marked the second straight game in which Ingram tossed at least four touchdown passes.

Senior Brayden Price also played a major role in the Knights’ offensive attack, lining up at wide receiver instead of his usual quarterback position. Meanwhile, Johnathan Coats provided a strong rushing attack, finishing with 82 yards and two touchdowns.

The North Central defense also delivered, holding the Panthers to just 12 points as McBee dropped its sixth consecutive game and fell to 1-6 on the season.

The victory continues an impressive turnaround for the Knights, who have now won three straight games after defeating Chesterfield 21-20 and Lee Central 40-20 in their previous two outings.

North Central will look to keep its winning streak alive this coming Friday night, October 16th, when the Knights travel to take on the Lamar Silver Foxes in another important region matchup. Kickoff is scheduled for 7:30.

With the regular season winding down, the Knights are building momentum at just the right time as they look to make a push toward the postseason.
