The Kershaw County School District has approved two new principal hires following a Board of Trustees meeting Tuesday. Rhea Faris has been named the new principal of Lugoff-Elgin High School. Faris currently serves as KCSD’s Director of Pupil Services and previously spent five years as an assistant principal at LEHS. Superintendent Dr. Harrison Goodwin praised Faris for his leadership, instructional knowledge, and strong ties to the school community.

Meanwhile, Dr. Danielle Reilly will become the new principal at Wateree Elementary School. Reilly returns to KCSD after serving as principal of Hyatt Park Elementary in Richland One, where the school saw major academic and culture improvements under her leadership. Reilly says Wateree holds a special place in her heart, as all three of her children attended the school.
