Kershaw County Council To Consider Data Center Moratorium And Zoning Changes

Kershaw County Council will meet Tuesday, September 22, at 6 p.m. at the Kershaw County Government Center in Camden.

Council will hold a public hearing and consider second reading of a temporary moratorium on applications for data centers, data processing facilities and cryptocurrency mining operations while the county considers possible zoning regulation changes.

Council will also consider several zoning amendments, including regulations involving hospital and medical facility signs, subdivision standards and fire hydrant requirements. The agenda also includes proclamations recognizing the 117th Engineer Brigade and Kershaw County’s Future Farmers of America and 4-H chapters.
