Camden City Council will meet Tuesday, September 22, at 5:30 p.m. at City Hall, following a work session beginning at 4:30.
Council’s agenda includes a first reading on a request to rezone property at 1009 Rippondon Street from Industrial to General Business District. Council will also consider a special property tax assessment for renovations to the historic Camden Jewelers property at 1008 Broad Street.
Other business includes the first reading of an ordinance involving the conveyance of city-owned property and consideration of a proposed public art installation at the Revolutionary War Visitor Center. The proposed artwork would present an American Revolution timeline as part of South Carolina’s America 250 commemoration. The meeting also includes a public comment period and is open to the public.
