The U.S. Department of Agriculture has announced whole and reduced-fat milk options are returning to federal school nutrition programs. Agriculture Secretary Brooke Rollins says the move restores nutritious dairy choices for children ages two and older and supports American dairy farmers. The USDA says whole milk provides important nutrients for growth and brain development, especially in young children. The Whole Milk for Healthy Kids Act was signed into law by President Donald Trump earlier this year and takes effect through updated USDA nutrition program rules.
