Lugoff-Elgin Middle School Teacher Kristine Adams Named South Carolina VFW Teacher of the Year

Lugoff-Elgin Middle School is celebrating a major honor for one of its educators. Kristine Adams has been named the South Carolina Veterans of Foreign Wars Teacher of the Year for grades six through eight—an award given to only one middle school teacher statewide. The recognition comes from nominations submitted by VFW Posts and Districts across South Carolina and highlights excellence in education, citizenship, and service. Principal Shackleford praised Adams’s dedication to students and the community. Adams will officially receive the award and deliver remarks at the VFW Mid-Winter Conference Awards Banquet January 24th in Myrtle Beach.
