Drivers traveling I-20 Westbound through Kershaw County should prepare for overnight lane closures beginning Monday night, August 24th.

Paving operations will take place between mile markers 95 and 87, beginning with patching near mile marker 90 Monday. Milling and repaving of the mainline is scheduled to begin Tuesday night near mile marker 95. The project is expected to continue through the end of September, with mostly single-lane closures Sunday through Thursday nights.

Also, early Sunday morning, August 23rd, contractors will conduct waterline maintenance at both I-20 rest areas from 2 until 5 a.m. The roadway will remain open, but water will not be available in the rest area bathrooms during that time. Drivers are urged to slow down and use caution around work crews.
