A Kershaw man has been sentenced to 15 years in federal prison for illegally possessing a firearm. Federal prosecutors say 40-year-old Davon Jermaine Mickle fired nearly two dozen rounds at a vehicle outside a Camden nightclub in August 2023. Investigators linked Mickle to the shooting through witness statements, surveillance video, and gunshot residue evidence. Because of multiple prior felony drug convictions, Mickle was prohibited from possessing firearms. He was sentenced to 180 months in prison, followed by three years of supervised release. There is no parole in the federal system.
