Camden Police have arrested a travel agent accused of taking more than $10,000 from a victim without booking the promised accommodations. Ann Brown Malphrus of Ridgeland was arrested Saturday, October 10th, and charged with breach of trust with fraudulent intent. Investigators say Malphrus agreed to arrange $10,765 in travel accommodations between February and June but never made the reservations. Her bond was set at $20,000. Camden Police Chief Jack Rushing says the department remains committed to protecting residents from fraudulent schemes.
