East York Street Bridge to Close for Three Weeks Beginning November 30th

The South Carolina Department of Transportation has announced plans to close the East York Street bridge over Little Pine Tree Creek in Kershaw County beginning November 30th. The closure is expected to last approximately three weeks while crews repair deficiencies discovered during a recent bridge inspection. Traffic will be detoured along Bishopville Highway, DeKalb Street and Mill Street. The additional detour distance is approximately one-third of a mile. School bus routes may also be affected.
