Kershaw County Council has several items on the agenda for its Tuesday, October 27th meeting.
Council will hold a public hearing and consider final approval of new performance standards for energy infrastructure projects, addressing concerns such as noise, lighting and environmental impacts. Council will also consider an airport hangar contract, proposed changes to the county’s hate-crime ordinance, and a rezoning request involving 10 acres along Highway 601 South in Lugoff. That rezoning proposal received an unfavorable recommendation from the county’s Planning and Zoning Commission. Other business includes a proposal for comprehensive athletic field turf management and chemical application services.
The meeting begins at 6 p.m. Tuesday at the Kershaw County Government Center on Walnut Street in Camden; it is open to the public and streams live at the county’s YouTube channel.
