A Cassatt man already out on bond for multiple felony charges is back behind bars following a traffic stop by Kershaw County Sheriff’s deputies.

Authorities say 45-year-old Mandrell Javon Brown was stopped October 21st. During the stop, K9 Fox alerted deputies to suspected narcotics, leading to a search that uncovered more than 15 grams of fentanyl, methamphetamine, a revolver, and drug distribution paraphernalia. Brown faces multiple charges, including trafficking fentanyl, possession with intent to distribute methamphetamine, and several firearms offenses.

At the time of his arrest, Brown was already out on bond for previous charges, including felony DUI and trafficking fentanyl and methamphetamine. A Kershaw County magistrate has denied Brown bond, and he remains in custody at the Kershaw County Detention Center.
