Residents in Camden will have free transportation options to the polls during the upcoming early voting period thanks to a partnership between the City of Camden and the Santee Wateree Regional Transportation Authority. Beginning May 26th through June 5th, excluding weekends, voters can use the King Haigler Express fixed-route service or schedule free door-to-door rides to the Camden City Arena polling location. Door-to-door rides must be reserved at least 48 hours in advance by calling SWRTA. Camden officials say the program is designed to remove transportation barriers and encourage voter participation.
