A nonprofit founded by Camden native Kesha L. Hayes is celebrating the success of its 11th Annual Senior Service Day and Senior & Caregiver Expo.
Caring For Aging Beauties hosted the September 12 event in Columbia, drawing 213 seniors and caregivers from across the Midlands. The Governor-proclaimed Senior Service Day featured 28 vendors and community partners, along with health screenings, vaccinations, educational resources and caregiver support.
Attendees also received complimentary lunch, wellness and self-care opportunities, and fresh produce through a Mini Market. Hayes founded Caring For Aging Beauties to support seniors, caregivers and families through education, advocacy and community resources.
