At approximately 4:20 p.m. on December 23, 2025, the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office responded to a 911 call reporting an armed robbery at a residence located on Claytor Street in Lugoff. Preliminary investigation indicates the suspects and victims had arranged to meet at the residence for an exchange of cash for a firearm. During the encounter, an armed robbery occurred.
Through investigative efforts, deputies identified two juvenile suspects involved in the incident. With assistance from the South Carolina Highway Patrol (SCHP) and the South Carolina Department of Natural Resources (SCDNR), both suspects were taken into custody before 6:00 p.m. No injuries were reported. This incident remains under investigation. Due to their age, the names of the juvenile suspects will not be released at this time.
