Recently, select Woolard Technology Center students in the mechatronics and carpentry programs were able to obtain their Six Sigma Yellow Belt certification by participating in a day-long training at Central Carolina Technical College’s Simulated Work Environment facility. This certification is utilized by employers to ensure their workforce has the foundational skills to identify problems and contribute to the process improvement. The students ability to earn this certification was provided in part by Kershaw County Committee of 100. This nonprofit’s purpose is to promote programs designed to encourage and enhance economic development in Kershaw County.
