Kershaw County students are being encouraged to dive into reading this summer through a new partnership between the Kershaw County School District and the Kershaw County Public Library. Inspired by the book The Wild Robot by Peter Brown, the challenge asks elementary students to read 10 books, middle school students to read 5, and high school students to read 3. Students who complete their reading logs can take them to the library for additional summer reading activities and a chance to win a copy of The Wild Robot. Completed logs returned to schools in August will earn students a reading reward. Reading logs and details are available at KCSD Summer Reading Challenge.
