Vehicle vs Power Pole Leaves One Dead

According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, a Fairfield County man died after he was involved in a motor vehicle collision in Kershaw County in the early morning hours of Saturday September 27th. According to 911 records, a call came in at 3:19 am reporting a single vehicle collision on West Dekalb Street in Camden. The vehicle, a 2004 GMC pickup, was traveling east when it veered off the road and struck a power pole. The driver, 61 year old John Graham Campbell, of Ridgeway, was pronounced dead at the scene. The Camden Police Department and the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office are investigating the collision.
