The Sumter County Council has canceled its regular meeting scheduled for Tuesday, July 28, as council members attend the South Carolina Association of Counties Annual Conference. A special called meeting will still be held Tuesday, July 21, at 5 p.m. in Council Chambers on the third floor of the Sumter County Administration Building, 13 East Canal Street, for second reading of proposed temporary moratoriums on solar farms, battery energy storage systems, and data centers. Council’s next regular meeting will be Tuesday, August 11, at the same location.
