The season opener between the Camden Bulldogs and Dillon Wildcats has been postponed because of severe weather and will now be played Saturday night at 6:00 p.m. in Dillon.
The game was originally scheduled for Friday night, but school officials moved the contest to Saturday due to the threat of heavy rain, lightning, and potentially dangerous storms moving through the area.
The matchup features two of South Carolina’s most tradition-rich football programs and is expected to be one of the marquee opening-week games of the season. Camden will look to begin the 2026 campaign with a road victory, while Dillon hopes to defend its home field in front of a packed crowd.
Fans planning to make the trip are encouraged to arrive early and monitor weather conditions before traveling.
If you can’t make it to Dillon, you can hear all the action live beginning with the pregame show at 5:30 p.m. and kickoff at 6:00 p.m. on Kool 102.7 and streaming online at 1027.com.
