According to the Kershaw County Sheriff’s Office, they are investigating a Saturday afternoon shooting. Sheriff Lee Boan said around 6:00pm, deputies were called to the 2500 block of Fort Jackson Road. The caller said her stepfather was trying to sell a car to someone when that person pulled out a gun.

Sheriff Boan says that the incident is still under investigation, but preliminary information suggests a vehicle chase between the victim and suspect followed, during which the victim was shot in the leg.

The shooter was arrested late Saturday evening. 49 year old Paul Head of Lugoff will be charged in this incident, as well as being charged with possession of a firearm by a convicted felon.
