Kershaw County Sheriff Lee Boan has officially been sworn in as President of the South Carolina Sheriffs’ Association. South Carolina Attorney General Alan Wilson administered the oath during the Association’s annual conference in Myrtle Beach. Sheriff Boan becomes the first Kershaw County sheriff to lead the statewide organization since Sheriff D.E. “Footsie” Hilton served as president in 1965. As Association president, Boan will work with sheriffs across South Carolina to advance public safety initiatives, strengthen collaboration, and advocate for law enforcement throughout the state.
