School District Announces New Assistant Principals

On Monday, the Kershaw County School District announced three new assistant principals. They are Stephanie Beckley as assistant principal of Doby’s Mill Elementary School, Jennifer Bonds as assistant principal of Lugoff Elementary School, and Detra Simmons as assistant principal of Blaney Elementary School.

Stephanie Beckley returns to KCSD after serving as an assistant principal at Willow Drive Elementary School in Sumter during the 2023-2024 school year. Prior to this, she taught English at Camden Middle School for three years, and was a first, second, third and fifth grade teacher at Camden Elementary for 21 years. Jennifer Bonds joined KCSD in 2022 as a kindergarten teacher at Lugoff Elementary. Prior to this, she served for eight years as a child development teacher and SOAR Lead Teacher in Richland School District Two. Detra Simmons joins KCSD from Richland County School District One where she served as an assistant principal at Burton Pack Elementary School. Before serving as an assistant principal, she taught fifth grade in Richland School District Two and Lexington School District Two for ten years, and third grade in Orangeburg County for two years.
