The Kershaw County School Board has approved three new administrative appointments for the upcoming school year. Veteran educator Cynthia Jowers has been named Director of Student Services, where she’ll oversee student discipline, school zoning, activities and athletics. Jowers brings nearly three decades of experience in education and school leadership, most recently serving as Assistant Principal for Instruction at Dreher High School. Wateree Elementary first-grade teacher Kristi Brown has been promoted to assistant principal after eight years at the school. Brown is a former Wateree Teacher of the Year and recently completed the district’s Developing Administrators Program. Camden Middle School English teacher Reagan Payseur has been named assistant principal at Midway Elementary. Payseur joined the district in 2019, has served in several leadership roles, and also completed the district’s Developing Administrators Program. The appointments were approved during the board’s July 7th meeting.
