Ada Twist is a scientist and her latest adventure is to find out about plants.  How do they grow?  Join Youth Librarian, Lauren Decker, in a book club reading about Ada and her plants while watching our own plants grow in the garden we’ll start at our first meeting!  The book entitled Ada Twist, Scientist: The Why Files, All About Plants! is free and yours to keep after the summer. Books on Broad will host veteran journalist Kevin Sack for an author talk and conversation with guest Camden Mayor Vincent Sheheen, followed by audience Q&A and a book signing of his new book Mother Emanuel: Two Centuries of Race, Resistance, and Forgiveness in One Charleston Church The event is free to the public. Books will be available for purchase at the event, or, in advance of the event at Books on Broad, 944 Broad Street, Camden. The author will sign books following the program.

The Mid Carolina Credit Union Kickoff Classic at Camden High School.  The only rival game of the season between Lugoff-Elgin and Camden High Schools.  Kickoff is at 7:30pm.  Come out and cheer on your team as Camden and LE battle for the rights to the Mid Carolina Rivalry Trophy.
