Adult Field Trip

Ye Iswą or Catawba as they are referred to by the Europeans have had a long and integral part in South Carolina’s history, but they are not the only indigenous people to inhabit the state. So, how did the Catawba cultural identity remain through time and changes when others had to choose to change their cultural identity in order to survive? Students will learn and discuss the Catawba from pre-colonization through the Revolutionary War.

Camden Intro To Quilting

Quilling is an old art form, probably as old as paper itself! It’s had several periods of wide interest, in ancient Egypt, the Renaissance period, 18th Century Europe, and Colonial America.  We’re in a revival of this craft, and it offers an opportunity for creative expression as well exercise in fine motor skills and concentration.  You’ll learn many of the basic shapes and forms and can create a sampler of your filigree paper art to use as a reference and then jump right in and create little gift tags or cards. DNR Hunter Safety Course
