Camden Explore The Art of Quilling

Quilling is an old art form, probably as old as paper itself! It’s had several periods of wide interest, in ancient Egypt, the Renaissance period, 18th Century Europe, and Colonial America.  We’re in a revival of this craft, and it offers an opportunity for creative expression as well exercise in fine motor skills and concentration.  You’ll learn many of the basic shapes and forms and can create a sampler of your filigree paper art to use as a reference and then jump right in and create little gift tags or cards. Camden Celestial Labyrinths

Join us for a PowerPoint presentation on nine labyrinths developed by Croatian writer and teacher Adrian Kezele.  These labyrinths have been associated with attributes such as “Freedom”, “Transformation”, “Wisdom”, etc. as well as planets or points in space.  They are drawn from seeds, so are easy to learn and fun to explore.

Country Breakfast Fundraiser

Kiwanis Club of Kershaw County hosts their annual country breakfast fundraiser. Plates are $10 and delivery is available. In addition, all military personnel (active, retired or disabled) eat free as well as kids 3 and under eat free. Proceeds benefit the children and youth of Kershaw County.
