The North Central Knights picked up their second straight victory Friday night, going on the road to Bishopville and coming away with an impressive 40-20 win over the Lee Central Stallions.
North Central entered the contest with some momentum after edging Chesterfield 21-20 the week before, and this time the Knights didn’t need any late-game heroics. They put together their highest-scoring performance since a 56-8 win over Buford earlier in the season and doubled up Lee Central on the scoreboard.
The victory improved North Central to 3-4 on the season, while Lee Central fell to 4-3 after suffering its third consecutive loss.
For the Knights, the 40-point performance was another encouraging sign for a team that has battled through a difficult early-season schedule. After beginning the year 1-4, North Central has now responded with back-to-back victories over Chesterfield and Lee Central, outscoring those two opponents 61-40.
North Central will now try to make it three wins in a row when the Knights return home Thursday night to take on McBee you listen to the Knights take on the Panthers at 7pm on Kool 102.7.
