During the August 5 school board meeting, the Kershaw County School Board approved Dr. Patricia Dillman as the new assistant principal of Camden Elementary. Dr. Dillman joined the KCSD family as a school counselor at Doby’s Mill Elementary School in 2022. A veteran K-12 educator, she has served as an assistant principal, school counselor, and classroom teacher in Texas, North Carolina, Florida, Alabama, and now South Carolina for more than 11 years. She has more than six years of experience serving as the Director of Learning Services at both Michigan State University and Louisiana State University. “I’m incredibly excited to embark on this new journey – one that allows me to contribute meaningfully to the community,” says Dr. Dillman.
She received a Bachelor of Science degree in special education from Texas A&M University, a Master of Education in Counseling from the University of Houston, an Education Specialist degree from Louisiana State University and a Doctorate of Educational Leadership and Policy Analysis from East Tennessee State University. She is a member of Palmetto State School Counselor Association, The American Counseling Association and the South Carolina Association of School Administrators. Dr. Dillman resides in Camden with her husband, Jeff, and two children, Olivia and Cole, who attend Camden area schools.
