More Than 200 Welcome 2026 with First Day Hike at Goodale State Park

KC Trails, in partnership with Friends of Goodale State Park and Goodale State Park, welcomed the new year with a successful First Day Hike on January first. More than 200 community members took part, joining hikers across South Carolina in celebrating the start of 2026 outdoors. Guided by Park Manager John Wells, participants explored the park’s scenic trails while learning about local wildlife and natural resources.
