The South Carolina Department of Transportation is advising drivers of two upcoming bridge closures in Kershaw County due to needed repairs. The bridge on SC-341, also known as Bethune Road, over the Little Lynches River will close March 2nd for about one week, with reopening expected by March 6th, weather permitting. Meanwhile, the bridge on Old Stagecoach Road, S-28-15, over the Lynches River at the Kershaw–Chesterfield County line will close February 9th for approximately three weeks and is expected to reopen by February 27th. Both closures are due to pile deficiencies found during recent inspections. Motorists are urged to plan alternate routes.
