The Montessori School of Camden is being recognized across South Carolina for strong academic performance. During the Charter Institute at Erskine’s Academic Showcase, the school earned a $10,000 Academic Performance Bonus after receiving an overall Good report card rating for the 2024–2025 school year. MSC also received a Gold School of Excellence Award, placing it in the top 25 percent of South Carolina middle schools in English Language Arts.
School leaders say the recognition highlights the strength of the school’s Montessori-based academic approach, where every student is seen, supported, and challenged to succeed. The Academic Showcase brings together charter schools from across the state to celebrate achievement and growth. This year, the Charter Institute at Erskine awarded more than $245,000 in performance bonuses to top-performing schools statewide.
