With 21 years of education experience, Meyers joined the Midway Elementary staff as a first and second grade teacher last year when her family relocated to Westville, SC. “I’m incredibly honored and excited to serve as the new principal of Midway Elementary. Since joining the Midway family last year, I’ve been deeply impressed by the staff’s unwavering commitment and the strong family ties that define our community. It’s clear that Midway isn’t just a school – it’s a vital hub for this special area. I’m excited to collaborate with our students, staff, families, and the broader community to foster an environment where everyone feels supported and connected, ensuring our children experience meaningful growth and reach their full potential,” says Meyers.

She began her education career in Lexington County School District One as a second grade teacher at Red Bank Elementary in 2004. She was named the principal of Lexington Elementary School in 2022, where she served until she joined the Kershaw County School District family in 2024.

Meyers earned a Bachelor of Arts in business administration (1997) and in early childhood education (2004), as well as a Master of Education in divergent learning from Columbia College. She also received a Master of Education in educational administration from University of South Carolina. She has also completed doctoral work towards a Doctorate of Curriculum and Instruction at USC. Meyers is a member of the Palmetto State Teachers Association and the South Carolina Early Childhood Association.
