The Kershaw County Library is inviting the community to celebrate the retirement of beloved Children’s Librarian Lauren Decker after 20 years of service. A drop-in retirement party will be held Saturday, August 1st, from 10 until noon at the Camden library. The family-friendly event will feature bubbles, balloon animals, refreshments, and a chance to thank Ms. Lauren for two decades of inspiring young readers. During her career, Decker championed early literacy, secured grants for library programs, and mentored future educators. The celebration is free and open to all ages.
