According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, 62 year old David Cunningham of Lancaster, jumped into the water near the dam around 2:50pm on Sunday. While he initially resurfaced, he went under again and never came back up. Cunningham was recovered by divers at around 10:45pm on Sunday evening, and personnel from Kershaw County Fire, SC DNR, and Kershaw County’s Sheriff’s participated in the search.
