Families with returning students in Kershaw County School District can begin online registration Monday, July 6, after receiving registration codes and instructions by email. That includes families who enrolled pre-kindergarten and kindergarten students this past spring.

New students should contact their zoned school to start the enrollment process. Registration help days will be held July 15 and July 22 from 9 to 1 and again from 3 to 6 p.m. District officials say students entering grades 6 and 9, along with all new students and families with a new address, must upload three documents for proof of residency.

KCSD is also reminding families that all students will receive free breakfast and lunch again this year through the Community Eligibility Provision. The district’s new school-based health centers at all high schools will provide no-cost care for common illnesses, and a ten-dollar technology fee can be paid online beginning July 6. The first day of school is July 30, with a staggered start for four- and five-year-old kindergarten students.
