The Kershaw County School Board has approved the hiring of Dr. Lilkenya Jenkins as the district’s new Director of Federal Programs. The appointment was made during the board’s January 13th meeting. Dr. Jenkins brings 25 years of experience in South Carolina education, having served as a teacher, assistant principal, principal, and most recently as Director of Federal and State Programs for Darlington County School District. In that role, she oversaw key programs including Title One and McKinney-Vento services. Dr. Jenkins says she is excited to join Kershaw County Schools and work collaboratively to support student success. She and her family live in Camden.
