Kershaw County Detention Center Announces Admin Hires

Kershaw County announces the hiring of Crayman Harvey and Jermaine Gordon as the Director and Deputy Director of the Kershaw County Detention Center. Director Crayman J. Harvey is a seasoned correctional leader and public safety consultant with over two decades of experience in law enforcement and detention administration. He most recently served as Director of the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County, South Carolina, from August 2023 to April 2025, following his role as Assistant Director beginning in 2022.

Deputy Director Dr. Jermaine Gordon, a respected leader in the field of corrections and public safety, brings nearly 20 years of experience to his role as Deputy Jail Director. He has held key leadership positions across multiple agencies, including the Florida Department of Corrections, South Carolina Department of Corrections, South Carolina Department of Juvenile Justice, Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center and currently Jail Manager Certification Commissioner for the American Jail Association.
