Kershaw County Council is set to revisit several major growth and development ordinances during its meeting Tuesday night, including the proposed building permit allocation system. The agenda includes multiple third-reading votes tied to the county’s Unified Development Code, covering subdivision standards, sidewalks, landscaping, parking requirements, easement naming, and impact assessment rules. Council members are also expected to continue discussions surrounding “smart growth” efforts and long-term planning as rapid development continues across the county. Tuesday’s meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Kershaw County Government Center in Camden; it is open to the public and streams live at the County’s YouTube channel.
