Kershaw County residents should take note of new operating hours for the county landfill and convenience centers beginning August first. The Kershaw County Landfill will be open Monday through Saturday from 7 a.m. until 5 p.m. All county convenience centers will operate Tuesday through Saturday from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m. and will be closed on Sundays and Mondays. County officials also remind residents that all large loads must be taken directly to the landfill. Convenience centers will not accept debris from vehicles larger than three-quarter-ton trucks or trailers longer than eight feet or with more than one axle.
