Kershaw County School District is partnering with educational staffing company ESS to manage all daily and long-term substitute services beginning this school year. ESS officially took over the district’s substitute program on July 1 and will recruit and manage substitute teachers, paraprofessionals, and support staff. District officials say the partnership will help ensure classrooms remain staffed with qualified professionals while providing flexibility for those interested in substitute work. ESS is currently recruiting community members, retired teachers, and recent graduates. Positions include weekly pay, health benefits, a 401(k), training, and bonus opportunities. Interested applicants can apply through the Kershaw County School District substitute applications page.
