Fifteen seniors from Camden, Lugoff-Elgin, and North Central High Schools were recognized during Kershaw County School District’s Annual Future Educator Signing Day held May 7th. Hosted by the district’s Teacher Forum, the event celebrated students committing to careers in education at colleges including the University of South Carolina, Clemson, Coastal Carolina, Winthrop, and more. Teacher Forum member Jenny Proctor says the district is proud to honor students choosing the “richly rewarding career” of public education and hopes many will one day return to teach in Kershaw County. Families, teachers, and school leaders gathered to recognize the future educators and their commitment to the profession.
