The Kershaw County School Board meets Tuesday, August 18th, with several items on the agenda. The meeting begins at 6 p.m. at the Kershaw County School District Office on West DeKalb Street in Camden.
Board members will review proposed changes to the district’s policy for nonresident students and inter-district transfers. The changes are designed to comply with a new state law establishing guidelines for students seeking to attend school outside their home district. The board will also receive a standardized testing update, an annual Booster Club officer report from Superintendent Goodwin, and discuss the district’s athletic participation fee.
Several schools will also be recognized for National Beta honors and for being named among America’s Healthiest Schools. School Board meetings are open to the public and stream live at the district’s YouTube channel.
