The Kershaw County School District has announced the finalists for its 2026 Outstanding First Year Teacher award. The finalists include Linden Carbaugh of Lugoff-Elgin High School, Kristen Franceschi of Jackson School, Rasheedah Edwards and Shawn Tarte of Camden High.
District officials say judges were impressed with the quality of all applications, highlighting the strong dedication shown by new educators across the district. The Outstanding First Year Teacher winner will be announced April 16th at the Teacher of the Year Celebration.
