In a surprise ceremony at Camden High on Wednesday, Joyce Edwards was awarded the Gatorade Girls Basketball National Player of the Year Award. WNBA Star Satou Sabally was on hand to present Joyce with the trophy. Edwards becomes the first male or female basketball player from South Carolina to win the Gatorade National Player of the Year award.
