Governor Henry McMaster has ordered that the flags atop the State Capitol be lowered to half-staff from sunrise until sunset on Tuesday, May 27, 2025, in tribute to Deputy Nathaniel Ansay of the Florence County Sheriff’s Office and in honor of his selfless service and supreme sacrifice in the line of duty, and the Governor requests that the flags over state buildings and buildings of the political subdivisions of this State similarly be flown at half-staff for this purpose.
