Authorities are investigating a fatal industrial accident in the Bethune area. According to the Kershaw County Coroner David West, 911 received a call around 5:35 Tuesday afternoon, January 20th, reporting an electrocution at a well drilling site.
The victim has been identified as 25-year-old Sheldon Moree of the Chesterfield area. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Officials say the incident involved an industrial well drilling operation.
The death remains under investigation by the Kershaw County Coroner’s Office and OSHA.
