According to Kershaw County Coroner David West, 9-1-1 received a call at 1:47 Saturday afternoon, January 17th, reporting a fatal motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Mount Pisgah Road and McBee Highway. Authorities say an SUV ran through a stop sign and collided with a pickup truck. The passenger in the SUV, identified as 25-year-old Josue Garcia Canales, from the Camden area, was pronounced dead at the scene. The incident remains under investigation.
