Kershaw County leaders will hold a community meeting next week to address ongoing safety concerns in the Elgin area. Sheriff Lee Boan, Elgin Mayor Melissa Emmons, and Kershaw County Council members Derek Shoemake and Jimmy Jones will provide updates on the investigation into reports of nails being found along U.S. Highway 1, Elgin Estates, and Watts Hill Road.
The public meeting is scheduled for Tuesday, January 20th at 6 p.m. at the Potter Community Center, located at 2427 Main Street in Elgin. Residents are encouraged to attend to hear the latest information and ask questions.
